1 Corinthians 5

Chametz u-Matzah

The holiday we usually refer to as "Passover," the Torah refers to as "Chag Ha-Matzot," the Festival of Unleavened Bread. A holiday celebrating the exodus from Egypt makes sense, but how did flatbread end up stealing all the attention? Learn the deep symbolism of matzah and its leavened couterpart, chametz, as we prepare for the Passover holiday.

Spring Cleaning and Passover

Spring is nearly here and the time for spring cleaning will be fast upon us. Carpets will be vacuumed and deep cleaned, drapes will be taken down and washed, the home will be dusted and cleaned of cobwebs from ceiling to floor, walls washed, and windows thoroughly cleaned. I dread the thought of it!

Everyone's Battle

The Torah portion called Ki Tetze begins with the words, "When you go out to battle against your enemies." In this Sabbath teaching, Pastor Lancaster homiletically applies these words to the obligation to battle against the evil inclination, particularly in the area of sexual purity. The discussion turns to consider our strategy in the battle against the broader culture's new sexual standards and how we as disciples of Yeshua of Nazareth should respond.
