Genesis 6

Beneath the Double Rainbow

A personal perspective on the Simchat Torah October 7 Massacre, the Gaza War, world events, and the coming day of wrath in light of parashat Noach.

Noah Walked with God

The Torah says that "Noah walked with God." What does that mean? Obviously it's not literal, so how does one "walk with God"? This teaching kicks off a new series titled "Walking with God."

By Water and Fire

If you just want to fit in with everyone and go with the flow, discipleship probably is not going to work for you. Disciples of Yeshua are consistently part of the minority and outside the concensus of social norms. Why is that? Here's a quick teaching on the concept of "the Fear of the LORD" and how God punishes the wicked by water and fire.

The Spirits in Prison

Who are the “spirits in prison” who “formerly did not obey, when God’s patience waited in the days of Noah" (1 Peter 3:19-20)? A cryptic passage in 1 Peter seems to allude to some larger apocalyptic concept from behind the veil with a glimpse into the world of souls. Here's a quick discussion of a fascinating topic that opens the larger question of what really happens to us after death.

Parashat Noach (2)

In this lesson we will continue studing about Noach (Noah). We will start in Genesis 6:11.

Follow along in Hebrew on Sefaria.

Parashat Noach (1)

Let's study the Parashah together in Hebrew! In this lesson we will study about Noach (Noah) from Genesis 6:9.

Follow along in Hebrew on Sefaria.

Noach Noach

Did Noah keep the Sabbath? This simple question opens a discourse on the Sabbath in parashat Noach which explores the idea of Sabbatarianism before the flood and before Mount Sinai. The teachings covers a broad range of ideas related to the Sabbath including the concept of Shabbat Menuchah (Sabbath Rest), the Sabbath as a covenant sign, and discussion on the seven laws of Noah and the Sabbath day.
