Luke 9

Consider Your Calling

Do you feel like you have a special calling in life? The Apostle Paul says, “Consider your calling.” Today’s teaching takes some time for those considerations and ascertains the calling the apostles had in mind.

Count the Cost

What does it mean to be a disciple of Yeshua? Before you go into the water, you should know what it is you are agreeing to. Yeshua cautions us to "count the cost" first. Listen to the audio and/or download the PDF version of the teaching below.

Feeding the Multitude

How did feeding a multitude with five loaves and two fish meet important Jewish messianic expectations, making it a perfect sign of Messiah? Learn how this event dramatized the Psalm the sages refer to as "the Messiah chapter" and discover the "two fish" hiding in plain sight in the Torah.

Passover: Prelude on the Mountain

More than three years had passed since Yeshua of Nazareth, the rabbi from Galilee, began to travel and teach about the imminent appearance of the Kingdom of Heaven. His message of repentance, faith in him, and charity to the downtrodden did not sit well with the political and religious figures he encountered. The Sadducees feared his messianic proclamations would gain strength and cause Rome to marshall its soldiers and place Judaea under even stricter control than the status quo.

Repentance from Dead Works II

Does repentance mean to change your mind or to turn from sin?

More thoughts on repentance from dead works as an essential part of the gospel and one of the elementary teachings of Yeshua. Evangelism is not like making toast. Discipleship and evangelism entail an ongoing process. This teaching includes excerpts from a blog in which an Evangelical pastor explains why he does not preach repentance.
