Matthew 24 | Beth Immanuel Messianic Synagogue

Matthew 24

Antichrist: Who is Like the Beast

A great deception is coming. Or perhaps it's already here. Listen to a quick introduction to the shadowy character and end-times arch-villain called Antichrist. This teaching presents the "Man of Lawlessness" and "World Deceiver" in light of the Torah's warnings about false prophets.

Birth Pangs: A Nation Divided

An international pandemic, riots in American cities, Chinse brinkmanship, rivers in Russia turn blood red, canibal rats in the streets, the American flag torn assunder, the Washington Monument struck by lightning--it's all in another week of the signs of the times during the birth pangs of Messiah.

Love of God

Loving God seems like should be easy. Unlike humans, he is perfect. There is also no doubt that he is worthy of our love. But there are serious challenges with carrying out the important commandment of loving God. In this class we learn how to overcome these challenges and what it takes to love our Creator.

The Thief at Rosh HaShanah

The Torah speaks of two types of thieves. One who comes by day and one who comes by night. Yeshua referred to himself as one coming like "a thief in the night." In this Rosh HaShanah teaching, we meditate on the meaning of that title as we prepare for the high holidays.

The Shofar That Would Not Blow

The Chassidc tale of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berdichev and the shofar that would not blow provides us with insights into the coming of the Messiah. This teaching from Rosh HaShanah 2014 looks into the source texts which associate the coming of the Messiah with the sound the shofar and derives a solemn warning for his disciples as we prepare for the high holidays.

Seven Bowls

Seven angels pour out seven bowls (invoking the plagues with which God struck Egypt) as the armies of Gog and Magog assemble to make war on Jerusalem in the Battle of Armageddon. Get the inside information on the great end-times conflict and God's direct intervention for the salvation of his people.

Thief in the Night

What does it mean that Yeshua comes as a “thief in the night”? The assembly of disciples in Sardis had a false reputation for being alive. The angel of Yeshua warned them to wake up or face the unwelcome and unanticipated visit of the thief in the night. This teaching explores Revelation 3:1-6 with emphasis on piety and connection to God in the practice of our faith.
