Roman persecution | Beth Immanuel Messianic Synagogue

More about Roman persecution

The Book of Revelation depicts a terrifying beast rising out of the sea. The whole world goes astray after the beast, worshipping it and asking, "Who is like the Beast?" Who is the Beast? What do the seven heads, ten horns, and diadems represent? This teaching makes the connection between Daniel's vision of four beasts and the Beast that rises out of the sea.

Revelation 12 describes a cosmic battle between two great constellations: the woman and the dragon. The seven-headed dragon of Revelation 12 is identified as Satan, but who is the mysterious woman with the sun and the moon and twelve stars? This teaching reveals the identity of the woman and the hidden identity of the dragon.

Why was John on the Island of Patmos? The tribulation was already underway in 95 AD. This teaching tells the story behind the book of Revelation from Roman histories, Church legend, and the Chronicles of the Apostles. The story of the Domitian persecution provides clues to unlock the meaning of the book of Revelation.

I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation and the kingdom and the patient endurance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus. (Revelation 1:9)
