Adar II 5776
Shalom Beth Immanuel friends, attendees, and virtual community.
The new month of Adar (Rosh Chodesh Adar II) occurs on March 10-11 this year. The Talmud says, “Joy increases in Adar!” We rejoice in the LORD always, being of good cheer in the confidence of good things that are ours through our Master Yeshua. As always, there’s a lot happening at Beth Immanuel.
The Three Campaigns
Here at Beth Immanuel, we are concentrating on three important initiatives. All three campaigns are still underway and taking important strides foreward:
All three campaigns need your help and participation.
Hannah Nesher Sisterhood Brunch
On Sunday, March 20, Beth Immanuel Sisterhood hosts a Women's Brunch event featuring special speaker and performer Hannah Nesher, a Messianic Jewish Israeli representing her own Torah-teaching ministry, Voice for Israel. She is the author of Messianic devotionals on the weekly Torah portions, and she specializes in teaching the Jewish Roots of Christianity. Sign up to attend here. Hannah will also be speaking on Shabbat March 19.
Purim at Beth Immanuel
The month of Adar means that Purim is here. Join us for a Megillah Reading and Purim party on Wednesday March 23. There will be costumes, Purim songs, cookies, and a lot of fun for everyone.
Purim Audio
In honor of the month of Adar and the festival of Purim, we have posted sermons and teachings about Purim along with last year’s hilarious radio drama Purim Home Companion. Visit the Purim Audio Page.
HaYesod Filming Trip
Pastor Lancaster is in Israel for most of March filming with First Fruits of Zion for the new HaYesod Module: The Sabbath Day. The new HaYesod material is based on Pastor Lancaster’s forthcoming book, From Sabbath to Sabbath, a component of our Oneg Shabbat campaign. Please pray for a successful and safe trip.
Wednesday Service Cancellations
Wednesday Night Plugged In services will be cancelled during Pastor Lancaster's absence. No service on Wednesday March 9 or 16.
Revelation Series
Pastor Lancaster’s series of teachings on the book of Revelation, Apocalypse of John, has now completed Revelation 1-3 including teachings on each of the seven epistles to the seven assemblies of Asia Minor.
Passover at Beth Immanuel
It’s not too early to start thinking about Passover. Get the dates on your calendar and make your Passover plans. Join us at Beth Immanuel for special Passover events such as the Resurrection Seder (April 23) or the Meal of Messiah (April 30). We’ll let you know when tickets are available.
Conference
First Fruits of Zion has announced this year’s national conference theme as “New Wineskins: Telling the Next Generation.” This year’s conference (June 8-12) features a special intensive three-day Bible School track for young adults age 15-20 titled “Decoding the Parables.” The young-adult Bible School is a first step toward our Messianic Jewish Learning Center campaign. Set aside June 11-12 for an amazing conference followed by Shabbat and Shavuot with Beth Immanuel and First Fruits of Zion. Registration for this event has not yet opened. If you have questions, contact First Fruits of Zion.
Parsonage
Thank you to everyone who donated toward the purchase of a parsonage to house Pastor Mitchell and his family. The Mitchells have settled in to their new home and are already hosting large crowds every Sabbath, an important component of our Come Home to Hudson Campaign.
Israel Trip
Join Pastor Lancaster and his brother Steven Lancaster for the trip of a lifetime on this year’s First Fruits of Zion study tour to Israel, October 30-November 14. Get more information and download the brochure here.
