Number 5 in the series Apocalypse of John

Who, or what, are the seven spirits of God? Who are the seven angels of the seven churches? The book of Revelation revolves around sevens: seven lamps, seven stars, seven spirits, seven churches, seven angels ... This teaching takes a plunge into first-century apostolic angelology to unravel the mystery of the seven spirits before the throne.

As for the mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden lampstands, the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches. (Revelation 1:20)

Rabbi Jonathan Cahn's book the Mystery of the Shemitah has gripped the nation. Rabbi Cahn claims that God deals with the United States by imposing a pattern of judgment which recurs on a seven-year cycle corresponding to the Shemitah year. Is there a basis in Torah or biblical prophecy for the claims? This teaching also considers the blood moons, a sandstorm in the Middle East, and the recent tragedy in Mecca which took place on the anniversary of the World Trade Center disaster. Is God trying to tell us something?

Number 4 in the series The World of Souls

Are reports of Near Death Experiences (NDE) credible? People resuscitated from clinical brain-death sometimes report out-of-body experiences in the World of Souls. Does that correlate with the Bible? Do these reports have anything to teach us about the state of the dead before the resurrection? This teaching explores the NDE in light of traditional Jewish teaching and New Testament expectation.

Number 19 in the series Galatians

In Messiah, "there is neither Jew nor Greek," so that makes us all the same? Wrong! When Paul declares that there is no difference between Jew and Gentile in Messiah, he does not mean to imply that Jews and Gentiles forfeit their unique roles and identities. This important teaching compares "One New Man Theology" and "One Law Theology," revealing them to be two sides of the same coin of replacement theology.

One Law is the end of Jewish identity for Jewish believers. In its place comes a new pseudo-Jewish/Gentile identity in which differentiation between the two vanishes.

A forgotten apostolic tradition about "the three camps" of Israel puts us on the trail of an ancient teaching about New Jerusalem and the World to Come. This teaching from just before Shavuot 2014 was the basis of the article that later appeared in Messiah Journal under the title "What No Eye Has Seen."

Number 2 in the series 26 Answers to 26 Reasons

Judaism teaches that a person should keep the commandments to inherit the world to come, but Christianity teaches that a person only needs to believe in Jesus. How do we reconcile these two very different salvation programs?

Number 1 in the series 26 Answers to 26 Reasons

Do you understand why most Jewish people do not believe that Jesus is the Messiah? Do you know why you do?

26 Answers to 26 Questions is a live recording of a mid-week class based on Asher Norman's popular anti-missionary book Twenty-Six Reasons Why Jews Don't Believe in Jesus.

In the course of these classes, we used Twenty-Six Reasons as a textbook to study our way through common questions raised by anti-missionary objections to Christianity and the New Testament. Our objective was not to train people to better proselytize Jews, but rather, we wanted to better understand our own convictions about Yeshua of Nazareth.

Since concluding the class, now more than five years ago, we have had frequent requests for copies of the audios. Over the next few months, we will be editing and posting the original audios from the class here at bethimmanuel.org.

The first commandment at Mount Sinai was "I am the LORD your God who took you out from Egypt, out of the house of slavery" (Exodus 20:2). Why did God introduce himself this way instead of as the God "who Created of the Universe"? In this lecture we will explore the meaning of implications of faith (emunah) as the foundation of our life's journey to the Kingdom.
