Gospel Chapter a Day: Perek Yomi

Happy New Year,

It's almost Rosh Hashanah, and Beth Immanuel has a new-year's gift for you.

We are inviting you to study through the four gospels with us this year by reading a chapter a day. The Gospel Perek Yomi (Chapter a Day) reading cycle begins with Matthew 1 on Rosh HaShanah. We read a chapter of gospel every day through the ensuing year, thereby completing all four gospels five times.

Beth Immanuel Elul News 5776

Shalom Beth Immanuel community and virtual congregation,

The month of Elul has begun, and along with it, the season of repentance. Time to issue apologies, repair relationships, and work on improving in our service of Hashem. May we all be found to be clothed in the merit and virtue of our righteous Messiah, may he come speedily, soon and in our lifetimes. May we merit to hear his shofar soon.

Beginner's Sabbath Service

Shalom Beth Immanuel,

This Saturday morning (8/27/2016), Beth Immanuel starts a new beginners' prayer service to introduce you to the Synagogue Shabbat service.

We will be slowing the prayers down, explaining their function and their meaning, and teaching you how to use the Sabbath morning prayers to connect with God in the liturgical service.

All you need to do is show up at Beth Immanuel this Saturday at 10:00 AM with an open mind and willing heart.
